Having solar on low voltage sometimes means we need Power distribution auxilerary grid of 12-Volt for lighting. In a tiny house it could be rather small since there is not a lot of lighting needed. Still it might be easy to have a power distribution, this sounds heavy, but we designed a few small enclosures to fit on any 2×4.
The smallest, only 2-way:
The smallest is only a 2-way distribution, just one 12-Volt input and two outputs. Protected by one 10A fuse, so upto 120 Watts of output. To make it more convenient both outputs are switched, so ideal for lighting. This means the enclosure should be placed on a easy to reach position.
A bit bigger, 4-way:
This unit has one 12-Volt input an four outputs. Protected by one 10A fuse, so 120 Watts maximum output. For convenience 3 of the outputs are switched and one is remote controlled with a small remote relay.
